I woke up as usual around 4:00am for my personal time and I saw the curtains were down. It was shortly after our relocation to Sagamu from Lagos 4 years ago. I was wondering what happened, then I noticed the … Continue reading
Job 23:1-10 Trial is a test of faith which God normally brings toward the way of His children in order to elevate them (James 1: 12). Trial can also come to test one’s faith in God. When such trials come, … Continue reading
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
2 Corinthians 12:6-10
6 For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
At times when we look at our challenges we see troubles but when God view these challenges He sees turning point. Really, “The eyes that look are common but the eyes that see are rare” we look but God sees.
How To Handle Trial.
1. Trust God more in your trial –
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
2. Pray to God about your trials and leave them in His hands
My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me.
Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, from this time forth and forevermore.
3. Don’t let the Word of God depart from you –
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
4. Don’t absent yourself from fellowship –
Not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another–and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Perseverance is the key. Don’t give up. God is bringing out gold from the furnace of trials. Trust Him for that.
Thank You Jesus.
