Years I Spent In Vanity And Pride.

Years I Spent In Vanity And Pride.
Caring Not My Lord Was Crucified,
Knowing Not It Was For Me He Died
On Calvary.

Mercy There Was Great
And Grace Was Free,
Pardon There Was Multiplied To Me,
There My Burdened Soul Found Liberty,
At Calvary.

By God’s Word At Last My Sin I Learned,
Then I Trembled At The Law I’d Spurned,
Till My Guilty Soul, Imploring Turned
To Calvary.

Now I’ve Given To Jesus Everything,
Now I Gladly Own Him As My
Now My Raptured Soul Can Only
Of Calvary.

Oh! The Love That Drew Salvation’s Plan,
Oh! The Grace That Brought It Down To Man,
Oh! The Mighty Gulf That God Did Span
At Calvary.

Thank You Jesus!

If You Feel God Has Wronged You, Please Forgive Him

Memorize: The LORD says:”What accusation did your ancestors bring against me? What made them turn away from me?” (Jeremiah 2:5)

Read: Jeremiah 2:2-5

But this is what I have against you: you do not love me now as you did at first” (Revelations 2:4). What was wrong in the church at Ephesus may appear mild to many today, but to the LORD, it is most grievous. The church continued with their works and activities but left behind the only thing capable of giving meaning to their works – Love. According to 1 Corinthians 13:13, any good deed that is done outside of love erodes the goodness of it and renders the deed as unprofitable. Is love the basis of your works? Why are you serving God? Is it because you want Him to deliver, save, heal or reward you? Any service you render to God’s Kingdom outside genuine love for the Master, is unprofitable.

If there is love in your heart, you will be motivated to express it in an act of goodness. Love propels action. The Spirit of love has a way of stirring the fire in you. If you have lost the fire, whatever you do will be mechanical. Leaving your first love amounts to undoing your foundation. If the foundation is destroyed, whatever is placed on it will surely crumble. Today, many people have eroded the foundation of their Christian service. If this describes you, repent and return to the Lord. Humbly ask for the return of your first love.

In our lives, the LORD is longing for a return to how things used to be in your Christian walk. In Jeremiah 2:25,   the once cordial relationship between God and the nation of Israel turned sour and God had to ask: “What did I do wrong to deserve this? In the same way, the LORD is asking you today, “What is my offence that made you jilt me?” you once hated hypocrisy, covetousness and lies. But today you take lies as jokes. You once feared God, your heart was so tender and spiritually sensitive, but today, nothing pricks your conscience. It has become almost as dead as a door nail. What you could not venture even in your thoughts, you now freely do. What has God done to deserve this? Are you fair to God going by the way you are treating Him? Where is your first love? Ask God to help you restore the lost spirit of love.

Action Point:

If you feel God has wronged you, please forgive Him. But if you carefully examine the situation prayerfully, you will find God is never wrong!

Reach out in faith to receive your miracle today

Culled from:

Luke 7:13-14, “And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not, And he came and touched the bier: and they that bear him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.”

LUKE 7:11-17

This example of the widow’s son being raised from the dead is often used to demonstrate that Jesus produced many miracles without any faith from those receiving the miracle, but by His faith alone. However, the prayer in Mark 6:5-6 shows that Jesus could not (nor would not) do many mighty works in His home town because of the people’s unbelief. Many scriptures reveal that faith must be present to receive from God (Mk. 11:23-24; Jas. 1:5-7).

So, whose faith was present in this instance? First, the mother of the boy responded to Jesus in faith. For this woman to allow Jesus to interrupt the funeral procession and tell her to stop weeping has to be viewed as a positive response. These people were no different from mourners at funerals today. If she had rebelled at Jesus’ intrusion, the crowd would have sided with her because of pity, but none of these reactions are recorded. Jesus was in command.

Second, it cannot be proven that a dead person has no choice in what happens. We may take it for granted, but the scriptures don’t state that. A person doesn’t cease to exist at death; he simply leaves his body. The person is still very much alive. Many people who have been raised from the dead have mentioned that they had a choice in whether or not to enter their bodies again. Although this principle cannot be verified by scripture, it cannot be ruled out by scripture either.

In any case, to be consistent with the rest of scripture, some degree of faith had to be present in either the person receiving the miracle, or an intercessor (in this case, the mother). Reach out in faith to receive your miracle today.

One Beautiful Moment

One Beautiful Moment

READ: Isaiah 40:6-11

All flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. —Isaiah 40:6

One snap of the shutter, and there it was . . . one beautiful moment captured in time for eternity. The late summer sun reflected in the breaking wave made the water look like liquid gold splashing onto the shore. If my friend had not been there with his camera, the wave would have gone unnoticed, like so many others that have come and gone, seen only by God.

Who can imagine how many waves Lake Michigan has sent rolling onto the shoreline? Yet each one is unique. As seen in every wave, God makes extravagant beauty out of seemingly mundane things. Using water and air, He makes wondrous works of art. We enjoy His gallery in skies above and on earth and sea below. But most of earth’s beauty remains invisible to us; it is seen only by God.

God uses another gallery to display His glory—humans. We too are made out of something ordinary—dust (Gen. 2:7). But to us He added an extraordinary ingredient—His very own breath (v.7). Like waves of the sea and flowers of the field (Isa. 40:6), our lives are brief and seen by few. Yet each one is a beautiful “moment” created by God to say to the world, “Behold, your God!” whose Word will last forever (v.8). —Julie Ackerman Link

Only one life, so live it well,
And keep your candle trimmed and bright;
Eternity, not time, will tell
The radius of that candle’s light. —Miller
