Open Doors. God will make a way for you, where there seems to be no way in Jesus Christ Name, Amen.

TEXT: Exodus 12: 29-36
Exodus 12:29 And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

12:30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

12:31 And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said.

12:32 Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.

12:33 And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.

12:34 And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.

12:35 And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment:

12:36 And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.

Doors are used for access control. When the door to a treasure is opened, people can access the treasures easily and as they wish. However, when that same door is closed, access becomes restricted.

Spiritually, doors can be used to manipulate the destiny of an individual, a family, a nation etc.

For example, the children of Israel needed to pass through Jericho in the course of their journey to the promised land. However, the wall of Jericho was massive and shut to restrain the movement of the Israelites. Ordinarily, this action would have put paid to their aspirations of possessing the promised land. In Joshua 6:1-20, God intervened, brought down the wall of Jericho and Israel continued their journey to destiny.

I pray that God will open for you every door, physical and spiritual, that may have shut you out of your destiny in the mighty name of Jesus.
Psalms 24:7-10.

There is another example in 2 Kings 2:13-14. Elisha had just received the mantle of his master, Elijah and in his way back River Jordan was going to stop him. By divine enablement, the river parted to make way for him.

I decree and declare that from today, God will make way for you where there was no way in the mighty name of Jesus.

Every door that has been shut against you shall open on their own accord. Acts 12:10

When you have an Open Door, Psalms 1:3 (And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper) shall be fulfilled in your life.

From our text today, Pharaoh finally urged the children of Israel to leave Egypt and go serve their God as they had requested. Prior to this, he had resisted every move for Israel to leave Egypt. He multiplied their tasks, made them work under terrible conditions, sat on their future and stagnated them in penury for years. However, when God arose for His people, Pharoah could no longer hold back. He had to let go of his ‘captives’.

According to the book of Isaiah 49:24-26, I pray that every power that is holding you captive shall let go now in Jesus name. In a bid to give you Open Door, God shall overwhelm every strong man that is controlling your life.

You shall become free indeed and free forever in Jesus name. John. 8:36

After Israel left Egypt, Pharoah and the host of Egypt pursued them. Captors don’t allow their captives to go free or easily.

Fortunately for the Israelites (but unfortunately for Pharaoh and Egypt), the Red Sea shut them out again and their journey ceased for a while.

Again, God made a way through the Red Sea for His children but drowned Pharoah and his hosts in the same Red Sea. Exodus 14:1-28.

After crossing the Red Sea, the children of Israel were faced with many obstacles which they overcame before they eventually got to the promised land.

According to 1 Cor. 16:9, there are adversaries, enemies, antagonists of the Open Doors that God promised us this season. Please don’t waver in faith because It does not matter how many doors have been shut against you, my God shall open them all. Psalm 34:19

Many children of Israel did not enter the promised land. They did not enter into their Open Doors. They became their own enemies in that they disobeyed God, they feared their enemies more than they respected God, they murmured, grumbled and complained against God. Therefore, He killed them in the wilderness. Deuteronomy 1:26-35

Whether the devil likes it or not, you shall reach your goals and fulfil your destiny in Jesus name.

What must you do to possess your Open Doors?

1. Be (and/or remain) on God’s side.

2. Trust God for what He says He will do.

3. Publish His great works all over the world.

4. Thank Him for all that He has done and will still do for you. Build Him an altar of thanksgiving.

5. Magnify His name above every other name. Build Him an altar of praise and worship.

God bless you.
