Jesus is God in the Darkest Hour By Pastor Magnus Maduka.
The Jews record their time in three-hour watches: 6pm-9pm, 9pm-midnight, midnight-3am and 3am-6am. The darkest of these intervals is the fourth watch (3 am-6am) and it is just before dawn. In our texts, we see that the disciples were on a mission Jesus sent them and yet they ran into a storm.
When all hope of surviving the storm was lost and the disciples feared that they were headed for a watery grave, Jesus came on the scene. In the disciples’ darkest hour, Jesus showed up, walking on the water which proves that nothing can stop The One who made time, space and material.
Let us be slow to fix the reason for people’s travails because we do not have all the answers. It is not every problem that is caused by poor decision or choice and the good news is that Jesus has a solution to every problem. The same Jesus who showed up for the disciples has promised that He will never leave nor forsake us. He has the keys of death and the grave and He will use them for our good and not against us.
Child of God, stop fearing that the worst will befall you (not under Jesus’ watch!). In your darkest hour or in your most terrible moments, always be assured that Jesus will come through to you. Before the battle is over, it is fiercest and you will laugh best because you will laugh last. Remember always that the verdict of redemption is WEEP NOT! I see you win.
