 Glorious By David James Archuleta

There are times when

You might feel aimless

And can’t see the places

Where you belong

But you will find that

There is a purpose

It’s been there within you

All along

And when you’re near it.

You can almost hear it

It’s like a symphony

Just keep listening

And pretty soon you’ll start

To figure out your part

Everyone plays a piece

In their own melodies

In each one of us

Oh oh oh, it’s glorious

And you will know how

To let it ring out

As you discover

Who you are

Others around you

Will start to wake up

To the sounds that are

In their hearts

It’s so amazing

What we’re all creating

It’s like a symphony

Just keep listening

And pretty soon you’ll start

To figure out your part

Everyone plays a piece

In their own melodies

In each one of us

Oh oh oh it’s glorious

Glorious, glorious, glorious

And as you feel

The notes build

Oh oh oh

You will see

It’s like a symphony

Just keep listening

And pretty soon you’ll start

To figure out your part

Everyone plays a piece

In their own melodies

In each one of us

Oh oh oh it’s glorious

ABOUT THE AUTHOR AND THE SONG!

David James Archuleta was born on 28 December 1990.

David is an American pop singer. At ten years old, he won the children’s division of the Utah Talent Competition, leading to other television singing appearances. When he was twelve years old, Archuleta became the Junior Vocal Champion on the second season of Star Search, known as “Star Search 2”

The year of composition of this song was 2018.

This song is an invitation to overcome feelings of worthlessness and disconnectedness by seeking out the plan our Heavenly Father has for us.

By establishing a relationship through prayer we can feel our Heavenly Father’s love for us and all his children. We can feel connected to our Heavenly Father by serving others. We are encouraged to find our personal mission of service for humanity.

It is about our reaching for our potential to live as a harmonious world.

Instead of fighting against the beat by doing things our own way, we can listen to that still small voice within and realise we are capable of participating meaningfully to lift those around us.

It feels wonderful when we do the will of our Heavenly father.

Both the lyrics and the voice modulation of the choir make me cry sometimes, because the song, especially, when one considers that it talks of the struggles within us in finding where we belong.

The truth about our role and purpose in making life meaningful lies within us.

If only we can relax, be quiet for a moment and search deep within, we will find clear answer, which will ultimately end the struggle.

Glorious!
