MESSAGE

Good morning everyone.  Believe all is well and believe we had a good night rest.

Today, be the grace of God, we shall be sharing on the topic: Peace, be still!

Peace may be defined as a state of being free from disturbance or a state of tranquillity.

In the bible text for today (Mark 4:35-41), Jesus and his disciples (Matthew 8:23 & Luke 8:22) where in a boat as they were crossing over to another side. Then a great wind storm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling.

The disciples must have been afraid. But Jesus was asleep.

They woke Jesus up and said Him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?”.

At times also in life we sometimes go through stormy and challenging situations.

Times when it seems as if God is silent, as though God is not around us.

An encouragement here is for us to always call on God even during those periods.

Like the song which says; I have a very big God oh, Who is always by my side, A very big God oh , by my side, by my side.

God is always by our side.

Jesus then arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.

The Almighty God shall calm every raging storms in our lives in the name of Jesus.

Jesus then asked them why they were fearful and why they had no faith.

Another encouragement for us is for us to have faith in God in all situations. To believe that by the grace of God, we shall overcome any challenging situation. The Almighty God is our Father, He is our Guide and He is our Shepherd.

He will never leave us nor forsake us as long as we are not separated from Him.

The Bible in Isaiah 59:1-2 says; Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.

But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.

One thing that can separate us from God is Sin.

The grace to live a holy and a righteous life, the Almighty God shall grant unto us in Jesus name.  Amen.

In summary, we are being encouraged to always call on God even during challenging period and also to have faith in God.

Philippians 4: 6-7 says; Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

So shall it be for us in Jesus name. Amen.

CLOSING PRAYERS.

1. Father, we thank you Lord for your Word.

2. Father, please calm every stormy situation(s) in our lives in Jesus’ name. Amen.

3. Personal Prayer requests.
