Main Scripture: Matthew 5:6, Hebrews 11, Romans 10:17
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled.
How do we hunger and thirst for righteousness?
Righteousness is a composite of all that is good. From the Greek translation, righteousness is, first of all, a doctrine concerning the way in which a man may attain a state approved of God and it is also integrity, purity of life, the correctness of thinking, feeling and acting.
Hunger and thirst for righteousness is the pursuit to become like God, it is a search to attain righteousness or purity and righteousness is attained through faith(Hebrews 11:7, Galatians 5:5)
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. The next thing you’d want to ask is how we attain faith. Romans 10:17 says, I paraphrase, faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God.
