Thirsty

11:00am, 19th August, 2020.

The drive home was as quiet as a grave-yard. They could have navigated a corner behind the Admin block which was a shorter route to their home but Rachel had parked her car in front of the Admin block.
Mrs. Clara collected the bunch of keys from Rachel and drove them home.

“I need you to go upstairs, put on the heater in your bathroom, I will be right there in a jiffy”

Mrs. Clara Okowa alighted and walked through the many pleasantries from the housekeeper and gardener who met her outside.

She dropped the car key on the slab in the kitchen and began to stir the pepper-soup on the gas cooker.

“Mummy, I don add the dried fish already o” the cook mentioned as she kept dicing the scent leaf.
