Worship Songs

Good morning Jesus,
Good morning Lord,
I know You come from heaven above.
The Holy Spirit is in control,
Good morning Jesus,
Good morning Lord.

I will enter His gates with thanksgiving
In my heart,
I will enter His courts with praise,
I will say this is the day that the Lord has made,
I will rejoice for He has made me glad
He has made me glad,
He has made me glad,
I am so glad,
I will rejoice for He has made me glad,
Hallelujah,
He has made me glad,
I am so glad,
I will rejoice for He has made me glad.

Good morning everyone. Believe all is well and believe we had a good night rest.

Today, by the grace of God, we shall be sharing on the topic; Reading Our Bibles, Praying Everyday.

There is a popular children song from which our topic was inspired from.
The song says;

Read your bible, pray everyday,
Pray everyday, pray everyday.

Read your bible, pray everyday,
If you want to grow.
If you want to grow,
If you want to grow oh oh oh,

Read your bible, pray everyday,
Pray everyday, pray everyday

Read your bible, pray everyday,
If you want to grow.

The parents of a child would want the child to grow; to start crawling, walking, grow from taking milk and liquid based food to taking solid food e.t.c.

Similarly, when we initially give our lives to God, we may be likened to ‘baby Christians‘ but for us to grow to be like Jesus Christ who is our role model, we would need to read our bibles and pray everyday.

When we read our bibles we begin to know the mind of God, what God would want us to do and what God would not want us to do. We learn about the ten commandments, we learn from various bible characters such as David , Joseph e.t.c whose lessons from their stories are still applicable to us even today. The grace for us to study our bibles,
the Almighty God shall grant unto us in Jesus name.

Also,we need to pray. The bible encourages us to pray without ceasing. When we pray we communicate to God, our heavenly Father. We are able to tell God how we feel, we ask God for forgiveness when we sin, we lay all our heart desires unto God e.t.c. And because God is our Father, we know He hears us.

Also, when we pray, God speaks to us, probably we might get some prompting or thoughts about an issue e.t.c. God speaks to us in different ways.

Also, like the song says ; Read your Bible, Pray Everyday.

We would need to be delibrate and disciplined about studying our bible and praying.

We may need to use a daily devotional to aid our studying of the bible.

The grace for us to continually study the word of God and also to pray to God, the Almighty God shall grant unto us in Jesus name.

Closing Prayer
1. Father, thank You for Your word today.

2. Lord, the grace for us to diligently study Your word and pray every day, Lord please grant unto us in Jesus name.

3. Lord, please help us today.

4. Personal prayer request.
