Altar of praise and worship

TEXT: Psalms 68: 1-8

Psalms 68:1 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.

68:2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

68:3 But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

68:4 Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.

68:5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

68:6 God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

68:7 O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah:

68:8 The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

MESSAGE

Yesterday, we focused on thanksgiving, expressing appreciation for all that God has done for us. As we know, when you show appreciation to what someone does for you before, you position yourself for another blessing.

Today, I want us to build an altar of praise and worship unto the Lord. It is a very effective way of attracting God’s attention to the situations and challenges in our lives.

In Acts 16:24-26, Paul and Silas praised God by the midnight and He showed up for them in a bug way without delay.

If they had not praised and worshipped God as they did, they would have been charged for an offense they did commit the next day.

I pray that as you build an altar of praise and worship today, the Lord will answer you speedily and silence every situation and challenge that is threatening your joy, peace, rejoicing and life in Jesus name.

From our text, when you sing praises and worship God (Psalms 68:4), He will arise for you and your enemies will scatter (Psalms 68:1). I stand on the authority in the word of God and declare concerning you that every enemy of your destiny will scatter in Jesus name. They will pack their loads in a hurry and leave (Psalms 18:44-45).

As you praise and worship God, all the Egyptians (problems, challenges, troubles) that you see now, you shall see no more forever in Jesus name. (Ex.odus 14:13b).

The beauty of it all is that God does not reject the praises of His children. As a matter of fact, He relishes praise. He looks forward to praise, so much so that when you give Him quality praise and worship, He leaves whatever He is doing to receive (Psalms 22:3; John. 4:23).

As much as God loves praise and worship, he rejects it when it is offered by a sinner (Proverbs 15:8). Please ensure that nothing stands as barrier when you offer God your sacrifice of praise and worship (Isaiah 59:1-2).

As you may already know, God does not move alone. He travels with an entourage, who alone can defeat any enemy. They can instill fear that will paralyse any enemy. (Psalms 68:1-2).

Brethren, praise and worship is not just about singing. It is a concerted, deliberate effort of a believer to attract heavens attention (John. 4:24)

When you do it right, the end result is rejoicing (Psalms 68:3-4).

As you praise and worship God, I pray that the doors of your joy, prosperity, freedom, success, peace shall open widely and never to close up again in Jesus name.

Welcome to your season of rejoicing.
