*The Lord is good
He has done me well
O my soul
Rise up and praise the Lord
Bible Text: Psalm 37:25-34
Father we give all the praise and glory to You for Your goodness and mercy towards us. We cannot thank You enough for Your saving grace and the way You have kept us from January till now. Thank You that we are still here and in good health. Accept our prayers and thanks in the name of Jesus, Amen!
God is always good Psalm 136:1. We are the ones that need to look at Him with new eyes, from new perspective. He remains God. Always in the business of doing good (Acts10:38) and loving all His creatures but blessing the obedient. We all love the spectacular, we love signs and wonders. We don’t believe that our journey of about 10-12 kilometres to work every day is by the miraculous power of God. People die on those routes on daily basis. Those near misses and coincidences are miracles that are not perceived as miracles. The one that did not visit the hospital throughout the year has received as much miracles as the one saved from cancer and serious surgery.
We need to start looking at things and situations with the eyes of God. The God of Elijah is our God.
Maybe you wonder today “where is the God who breathed life into Ezekiel’s valley of dry bones and caused the bones to live again”. “Where is the God who provided for Elijah at the widow’s house, the God that sent fire from heaven at the call of Elijah”. The truth is that He is within a touching distance… hearing distance…and responding distance. He is not far from each one of us. Acts17:27-28.
The issue is not so much His presence, as it is our PERCEPTION of it. The God of the Bible is still in the business of signs and wonders. He still gives in wonderful if not spectacular ways.
Sometimes when God says”NO“, He doesn’t mean “NEVER“. He is simply saying “NOT NOW” and what He has in store for you is worth waiting for! Please bear in mind that God does a work of preparation within you to equip you for what He has in mind for you. His word says “He that believeth shall not make haste” Isaiah 28:16. So don’t get impatient and jump the gun. Wait for the Lord, follow His path, He will honour you! Psalm 37:34. Don’t be impatient!!! Look at things from God’s perspective. When you focus on the God who never meets a problem He can’t solve, instead of focusing on the problem you can’t solve, you will experience in depth peace. And you will carry that peace with you wherever you go. Others will notice it and seek your advice when they too face trouble. WHEN YOU KNOW THAT THE GOD WITHIN YOU REIGNS ABOVE YOU, YOU WON’T SUCCUMB TO WHAT IS AROUND YOU. Peace is an inside job. 1 John4:4. Isaiah 26:3.
That song (Hymn) says”My faith looKs up to thee” not “My eyes” but “my faith”. Faith can see what the eyes cannot see.
Only Caleb and Joshua saw the Promised Land from God’s perspective. The others saw with their ordinary eyes. How are you seeing the situation of Nigeria? Please don’t look at it with your ordinary eyes or senses. See with the eyes of God. “Stop looking, start seeing”.
Some of us are wondering about the situation in Nigeria. The economic difficulties and the exchange rate regime. In the book of Numbers 11:4-23, the people of Israel in the desert complained about food to Moses and to God. Moses was, like a lot of us today, confused as to how God will provide meat to so as much number of people within a short time. The Lord replied in Numbers 11:23 “is the Lord’s arm too short”. In other words “Moses why are you doubting my power to provide”. The aide of the King did not learn from this when he said in the book of 2 Kings7:1-2, 2 Kings7: 19-20 that if the Lord were to open the windows of heaven, the prophecy of Elisha concerning the end of famine cannot come to pass. He did not live to regret his doubt. He died as the prophecy was being fulfilled.
I believe God that things will improve for Nigeria before the end of the first half of 2021
Are you expectant? Are you prepared? Or are you doubting like Moses and the King’s aide. Change your perspective. Take on God’s perspective and believe God’s word. Prepare for a better harvest and God will come through for you in the name of Jesus.
He is a good God and His promises can be trusted.
1. Father, we appreciate Your loving kindness over us. Let us not lose Your goodness from sinful activities.
2. Please give us the eyes of discernment to see Your good works in our lives. Open our eyes to see Your glory.
3. Father, the same way You helped Caleb and Joshua to see from Your perspective, please help us to see with Your eyes.
4. Father, please deliver Nigeria from the enemies within and without. Help us to overcome our current travails.

God bless you and have a glorious day.
