Our heavenly Father, we thank You Lord for the grace and privilege to see yet another day, Lord we say thank You. Please accept our thanks in Jesus name. Father, in any way we might have sinned in words, in our thoughts or in our actions, Lord please forgive us in Jesus name.
Father Lord we commit today unto Your hands, Father please take charge in Jesus name. And Lord even as we share Your word, Father please minister to us all in Jesus name. Thank You father for answered prayers. In Jesus name we have prayed. Amen.
Good morning everyone. Believe all is well and believe we had a good night rest.
Today, by the grace of God, we shall be sharing on the topic; Be Courageous.
Courage can be defined as taking the required steps or actions towards the actualisation of a goal even in the midst of fear, anxiety etc.
Joshua was a servant/assistant of Moses. Moses had brought the children of Israel out of Egypt leading them to the promised land.
Moses grew old and the Lord had told him he would not cross over Jordan (Deuteronomy 31 vs 2)
After the death of Moses (Before the Israelites got to the Promised Land), Joshua was saddled with the task of leading the Israelites to the Promised Land. That might have been a huge task for him; having assisted Moses and had seen the various challenges that Moses had to overcome while leading the children of Israel to the promised land (Including their request for water, making of the golden calf amongst other challenges).
But the Lord spoke to him and told him to be strong and of good courage (Joshua 1:6)
Similarly, we may be passing through some challenging situations or we may probably be thinking of how we can achieve a seemingly impossible task.
The encouragement for us today is for us to be courageous. As long as we have God with us, we can overcome all challenges.
In Joshua 1:5c; the Lord told Joshua that He will not leave him nor forsake him.
The Almighty God will never leave us nor forsakes us also, in Jesus name.
In Joshua 1:7, Joshua was encouraged to observe to do according to all the law which Moses had commanded him.
Also, Joshua 1:8 says; This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your ways prosperous, and then you will have good success.
When we do according to God’s words as written in the Bible by God’s grace and help, then we will overcome all challenges.
We will overcome all challenges in Jesus name. Amen
Father, thank You Lord for Your word today.
Lord, please turn every challenging situations of our lives into testimonies in Jesus name
