From valley to victory

Alpha, Omega, you are worthy of our praises today, you are worthy of our praises today

Eternal rock of ages indeed you are worthy of our praises. I bless your Holy name. Thank you for the dawn of another beautiful day. Lord please have mercy on us and pardon our iniquities. King of glory you are our help in times of trouble, please continue to watch over us and deliver us from all evil. This morning Lord, speak to us and let your word bring comfort to us and may your name alone be glorified in our lives in Jesus name we pray.

Text: Psalm 40:2-3
“ He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God : many shall see it, and fear and trust in the Lord.”

What is a valley?
In primary school we were taught that a valley is a low land between two hills. However, one of the several definitions of a valley I found in the dictionary says, a valley is
‘any place, period, or situation that is filled with fear, gloom, foreboding, or the like: e.g
the valley of despair.’
Like David said in our text, we can say that a valley is like a horrible pit.

Therefore a valley in the life of a child of God can be any unpleasant situation in the life of that person that does not glorify God. The Bible says in Rev 4:11 that God created all things for His pleasure, so If any child of His is in the valley then his/her life is not giving God pleasure and such a person needs to pray to God to be delivered from that valley.

Are you reading this message today and You may be in a valley of trouble, a valley of loneliness, a valley of debt, a valley of sickness or a valley of unfruitfulness of any kind ( physical or financial) and You don’t seem to see any way out; Whatever you are going through may look permanent as if God has forgotten you because you have fasted and prayed without results.
God is saying to you this morning , “I am about to transform that valley into a gateway of hope, a gateway of increase and a gateway of favour.”
Just trust him and it shall be so in Jesus name.

Brethren, GOD always has something for His Children. He has a key for every problem, a light for every shadow, a relief for every sorrow and a plan for every tomorrow.

We must note that God allows valleys and wilderness experience, not to hold us back, but because He wants to take us higher and to prove to the enemy that He is God over every situation in our lives.

You must have a new perspective to life’s issues. That valley is not there to stop you or limit you; it’s there to promote you and make you accomplish God’s purpose for your life.

Look at the story of Joseph in Genesis 37- 42, he didn’t give up while in the valley of life.
He was in a situation that can be likened to a horrible pit yet he came out victorious and he accomplished God’s purpose to save his people.

I pray for someone this morning, the lord will locate you in every valley the enemy has put you and catapult you to victory. You will fulfill God’s purpose in Jesus name.

So what I am saying is that by standing on the word of God you can get up and march the devil out of your life. Tell him like Job did in Job 19:25 that your redeemer liveth and in Job 13:15 that even though he slays you, you will trust in him and maintain your ways before him.

Quote the word of God in Habakkuk 3:17-18 which says “Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the field shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation”.

In other words, it doesn’t matter what problems and challenges you are facing right now with no testimony of answered prayers, you are still holding on to the promises of God because winners don’t quit and quitters don’t win.

You are an overcomer, the Lord will fight for you and you will hold your peace. Tell the devil “I am coming out of every valley and I will sing a new song in the mighty name of Jesus “

As I was concluding this message a song came to my mind in Yoruba by Ebenezer Obey and it goes thus;
O dami loju pe oro mi ti dayo o. Ko soun to le to soro foluwa kosoun to le toluwa ole so dero, o dami loju pe oro mi ti Dayo o”.

Meaning of the song is this:
“ I am certain that joy is mine and there is no situation too difficult for God to handle “ . Luke 1:37 says ‘ with God nothing shall be impossible. It’s not over until it’s over.

Your testimony is on the way. Hallelujah!

Let us pray.

*Father thank you for your word this morning. You are the one with whom nothing is impossible.

*Father please pull me out of every valley I am in right now and give me a new song.

*Father, you are the Lord of hosts please fight all my battles for me in Jesus name.

*Father in the remaining days of this month please remember me and my loved ones and send help to us in Jesus name.

*Personal prayers

Good morning Brethren. Have a Blessed day.
