Topic: Gideon Ideology
Bible Text: Judges 6: 13-14
And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? but now the Lord hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites. And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?
The question from Gideon is so loaded and it is the type of question that many of us keep asking. Try to form the habit of writing out answers to questions that come to your mind.
People, including our children have several questions including the one Gideon asked above. ‘If God was with us, why are bad things happening? Why is there corona virus? Why do good people die?
God is always with us. Don’t fall into the trap of the enemy. You are not alone. His plans are to give you a beautiful end. You might not see it but it is there. Believe it. Confess it. Hold on to it.
The enemy tries to make you feel small or make you feel like everyone else is better. It is an intimidation strategy.
The enemy made the Midianites come destroy the harvest of God’s people. What has the enemy been scattering in your life?
Are you afraid to speak up in public? Are you scared of what tomorrow holds? Don’t allow that intimidation.
Dimming your light for another to shine is not humility, it is stupidity.
The name of the Lord is glorified in your shining not in your hiding.
You are not a chicken. You are an eagle. Don’t allow chickens to turn you into one of them. Shine forth with what the Lord has given to you.
The enemy has put you in a corner. People are shining through you but you allow yourself to be hidden with intimidation.
Many have imaginations of ‘What if?’. Drop them.
If you haven’t given your life to Christ, do so now.
• Thank God for His presence with us always
• Father! I refuse to be intimidated. I must shine. The name of the Lord must be glorified in me
• Father! I, (Your name), shine forth so the name of the Lord must be glorify in Jesus Name.
• Father! I cast out every spirit of fear, doubt out of life in Jesus Name.
• Speak to the Lord about what you want Him to do for you today.
