Be still at a time like this

Be still at a time like this

Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10

Sometimes when God wants to speak to His children, He takes them to a place of loneliness, just as He did with Moses in Exodus chapter 3. That’s where you and I are, right now, and will be, in the next few weeks, if the Lord tarries. Beloved, God has brought us here, not only to hide us from the plague, but also to speak to us.

We however need to be STILL in the spirit so as to be able to hear from Him very clearly.
While the plague persisted in Egypt, God continued to speak to His children. As He showed Himself a Terror to Pharaoh, He proved Himself a Deliverer to Israel. He is still the same God today, for He does not change. In the present plague too, as the heathen will realize that there is a God who is a Consuming Fire, Deut 4:24, God’s TRUE children shall also realize that truly our God is a Refuge, Psalm 91:2.

God’s Word commands STILLNESS at this time. You can be home and still not hear God, if you are distracted, like Martha, in Luke 10:40-42.

How can you maintain a stillness of the spirit?
1. By clearing your mind of all anxiety and cares of this world.

2. By having constant quiet time with God, studying and meditating upon His Word.

3. By praying with faith rather than fear.

4. By asking God to speak to you not only about your own life, but also His Plans for the world and the Church now and in the future.

5. By just listening to Him speak to your heart morning, day and night.

6. By being constantly sensitive in the spirit, even when you are asleep, for God can speak any time.

7. By spending minimal time on news media and directing most of your attention to things that edify.

Finally, beloved brethren, ‘Be Still’ also means that you and I don’t need to fight in this battle.

The battle is entirely the Lord’s. We are to wait upon Him, worshiping Him in spirit and truth, until He hands us the Victory.

May you be around to claim your victory, in Jesus name. Amen!
